This study was carried out from April 1 to November 30, 1973, to secure the best planting method for the chestnut tree growing at rooting box of the Forestry Experiment Station, Kyungkido.
The six treatments were as follows (planting hole 1 §© each).
A: control (nontreated)
B: Common stratified fertilizing method (humus 30§¸, brand fertilizer (18 100g)
C: Center avoided wholezone fertilizing method (humus 30§¸, poultry excretes 15§¸, coal ashes 60§¸.)
D: Center avoided upsidezone fertilizing method (humus 15§¸, Poultry excretes 7.5§¸, coal ashes 30§¸)
E: Treatment B transmitted with fertile soil.
F: Treatment C transmitted with fertile soil.
The results indicated that treatment C and D were superior both shoot and white root growth, to the control common stratified fertilizing method plot, and also the treatment E and F were fairer than control and treatment B.
That is, totally evaluated results were such trend as C$gt;D$gt;E$gt;F$gt;B$gt;A.
